After coming off two pretty good years, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has been honored with his own special day in 2012.

Earlier this year, both houses of Wisconsin Legislature approved a resolution declaring Dec. 12, 2012 Aaron Rodgers Day statewide.

The former University of California quarterback accepted a plaque signifying the honor from a handful of lawmakers who made the trip to Lambeau Field.

“It’s a very humbling honor to receive this distinction of having a day all to myself,” said Rodgers, according to the Green Bay Press-Gazette.

Green Bay Packers fan Jennifer Brilowski created a Facebook page last year calling for the honor.
